Oxygen Bleach Powder

A versatile, chlorine-free powdered oxygen bleach, sodium percarbonate releases oxygen when dissolved in water and can be used for laundry, stain removal, soaking, deodorising and a wide range of household and outdoor cleaning applications.

100% Pure Sodium Percarbonate

Not all oxygen bleach products are pure sodium percarbonate. Some products are blended with washing soda or other ingredients, reducing the proportion of sodium percarbonate in the finished product.

Our Oxygen Bleach Powder contains 100% sodium percarbonate. It is not diluted or blended with washing soda or other cleaning ingredients, so you know exactly what you are buying and can adjust the amount used according to the application.

How Does Oxygen Bleach Work?

Sodium percarbonate is a powdered compound of sodium carbonate and hydrogen peroxide. When dissolved in water, it releases hydrogen peroxide and washing soda, providing oxygen-based cleaning and bleaching action without chlorine bleach.

Oxygen Bleach works particularly well in warm to hot water and can help clean and remove organic stains such as coffee, tea, wine, fruit juice, food, sauces, grass and blood.

What Can Oxygen Bleach Be Used For?

Laundry and stain removal: Use as a laundry booster alongside your normal laundry soap or detergent, or for soaking stained and discoloured washable fabrics. It can be used on most washable whites and colourfast fabrics. Do not use on wool or silk.

Dishwashers: Oxygen Bleach can be used as part of your dishwasher cleaning routine and is particularly useful for removing food, tea and coffee stains.

Kitchen cleaning: Use for cleaning and deodorising stained plastic storage containers, cutting boards, countertops, coffee pots, coffee makers, rubbish bins and other washable kitchen surfaces.

Bathroom cleaning: Suitable for cleaning tiles, grout, porcelain, sinks, toilets and shower curtains, including organic staining, mould and mildew marks.

Carpets and upholstery: Oxygen Bleach can be used for spot cleaning colourfast carpets and upholstery and for pet stains and odours. Always test an inconspicuous area for colourfastness first.

General household cleaning: Use for soaking and cleaning mops, sponges, coolers, bins and other washable household items.

Outdoor cleaning: Suitable for many outdoor cleaning applications including algae- or weather-stained decks, fencing, siding, concrete, bricks, outdoor furniture, awnings, camping equipment and other washable surfaces.

Boats and outdoor equipment: Can be used for cleaning suitable canvas, vinyl, rope, teak and similar washable surfaces.

Pools, hot tubs, ponds and grey water applications: Sodium percarbonate can also be used for certain water-treatment applications. Refer to the application-specific directions before use.

Directions for Use

Laundry: Add 1/4–1/2 cup per load together with your normal laundry soap or detergent. Best used in a warm or hot wash. Do not use on wool or silk.

Dishwasher: Use 1–2 tablespoons, adding dishwasher salt as required and vinegar as an optional rinse aid.

General cleaning and soaking: Add 1–2 cups to 4 litres of warm or hot water.

Freshly mixed Oxygen Bleach solutions are most effective in warm to hot water. Prepared solutions remain active for approximately 5–6 hours and should then be discarded. Do not store prepared solution in a sealed container, as oxygen is released after the powder is mixed with water.
